Sitting here in the office looking really smug!

I got the bike last Thursday and have cycled to work three times this week (would have done all 5 but needed the car for work) and have really enjoyed it. Haven't really cycled properly for years and was a bit worried that I would find it too hard going but it's been great - already addicted. Takes the same time to cycle as come in the car. Sitting here in the office looking really smug!!

Cyclescheme goes exponential

2006-08-11 09:34:01

Some well-meaning colleagues here at Cyclescheme told many that we would have more time in the autumn. More time to do all those things that have been put aside for that rainy day. Well it just hasn't happened. It has rained as you know but this doesn't seem to have dampened any ones' enthusiasm for cycling. We are still opening new schemes with ABN AMRO holding a vibrant open day in the City of London and a large council in the Midlands preparing to launch their scheme in time for Christmas. At Cyclescheme we are attempting something new - to turn the clock back to the days when your local bike shop provided bikes, serviced them and replaced them when they got stolen. We are also, so it seems, turning back the clocks and allowing merry folks to buy their bike for Christmas once more!
