As of 31st March 2014 BikeMiles® will no longer be available through your MyCyclescheme account. Got a question about the decommissioning of BikeMiles®? Check out our FAQs below.
Why is the Cyclescheme National Hub being decommissioned?
Based on survey feedback from both employers and participants, coupled with our own internal review, we have come to the conclusion that we have not been able to make the most of the BikeMiles® platform.
Although we have worked extremely hard to keep BikeMiles® exciting, relevant and engaging over the past 12-months, we have made the decision to close down access to it through our MyCyclescheme portal.
What will happen to my existing BikeMiles® credits?
As of 31st March 2014 any unspent BikeMiles® credits will be lost.
Can I export/download my data?
Unfortunately not. We have taken time to explore transfer of data options available but, in order to ensure maximum adherence to Data Protection Act requirements, the data stored in your BikeMiles® account will be deleted as of 31st March 2014 and cannot be downloaded or exported.
What will happen to my personal data?
In accordance with Data Protection Act requirements, all personal data held in your BikeMiles® account will be deleted as of 31st March 2014.
I have claimed an offer using my BikeMiles® credits but have not yet redeemed it, will it still work?
This will depend on the offer. A majority of BikeMiles® rewards are redeemed using a promo code, which in most cases will still be valid once your BikeMiles® account has been removed. Please check the terms and conditions of any offers you have claimed but not yet redeemed to avoid disappointment.
Can I still enjoy a discount on British Cycling Ride membership?
Yes. We will continue to work with British Cycling to offer Cyclescheme members the ‘12 months for the price of 9’ offer. The promo code for this discount will be delivered to Cyclescheme users via email.
What other mile tracking services are out there for cyclists?
There are a number of other services available to cyclists including: Strava, MapMyRide and RunKeeper.
