How to Keep Your Employees Motivated

How to Keep Your Employees Motivated

Your employees are likely to have many different motivations in life, but there is one thing most of us can agree on - we like to save money where we can!

Whether you are a small, medium or large organisation, offering a wide range of benefits is a powerful motivation for your employees, by helping them to save money and spread the cost on important things that enable modern life to run smoothly.

MySchemes consists of just one single online account across all products. It has ten years of employee benefits experience behind it to minimise the administration for you. It means the process is simple for your employees to get the latest technology gadgets, bikes for cycle to work and accessories, and childcare.

To make promoting your benefits fast and easy to your employees, there is a marketing suite accessed by logging into your account for Cyclescheme/MySchemes and clicking on the 'Marketing' tab. You can access quickly items such as videos, customisable posters, templates for emails to send to colleagues, PowerPoint slides, eFlyers, and website text and banners.

Why should I offer a technology benefit to my employees?

A benefit where employees can save money on and spread the cost on highly desirable technology is very popular with many employees. Techscheme offers a large range of the latest products available to give your employees great choice, such as Apple iPads and iPods, Samsung TV packages, and smartphones, laptops, desktops and accessories from a range of manufacturers.

Employees save up to 12% national insurance contributions on, without any credit checks, and interest free payments direct from their salary are spread over time.

What are the advantages of a cycle to work scheme?

Cyclescheme is where MySchemes began. It is an award-winning, leading cycle to work provider that helps your organisation and employees to save money, to be healthier and more productive at work, and to reduce your environmental impact. When your staff get a bike through Cyclescheme, you don't have to pay Employer’s National Insurance (typically 13.8%). Over half a million employees already use Cyclescheme to save at least 25% on a new bike, or just the safety accessories for the bike they already use, and spread the cost. By using a piece of their pre-tax pay, employees make tax and national insurance savings on their chosen items.

One employer said: “Staff are delighted with the savings made, and the simplicity of the process.” Cyclescheme is also popular with employees as it offers the choice of buying a bike or accessories through one of over 2,000 local shops or purchasing online.

How can I help my employees who require childcare?

Childcarescheme allows your employees to save on all, or a percentage of, their ongoing childcare costs through tax-free, convenient salary sacrifice payments. Like all MySchemes products, it is a fully automated service, and available to any size of organisation with employees paid through PAYE. You will save approximately 13.8% on Employers' National Insurance Contributions (NIC), motivate your staff, increase morale and help support your valued employees with their families. There is minimal administration involved as an employer, as we will administer the process for you as much as possible.

The service is fully automated with a range of innovative, easy to use online tools including items to promote the scheme in your organisation, such as posters, leaflets and an employee welcome email.

Childcarescheme has an annual subscription fee per employee of £49 including VAT. As an employer you can choose to recoup this cost from an employee, or pay it on behalf of participating employees as an added benefit to them and offset the cost against your Employers’ NIC savings. Your Employer's National Insurance Contribution (NIC) savings typically fully offsets the annual subscription fee, resulting in a cost neutral, but often cost positive benefit for you.
